  I shopped at Bealls today and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. From the moment I walked in I felt unwelcome. When I went to check out there was a lady named Betsy or Betty at the register who made the situation even worse. There was a long line of customers and instead of helping move the line along she purposely started another task so she would not have to assist me. When I approached her register she immediately told me to go to the other line even though she had just finished helping someone before I walked up. Her demeanor was cold and it felt as if helping me was an inconvenience. I also witnessed her interact with another customer who simply asked if a product would still be in the store later. Instead of offering a clear and helpful answer she responded with sarcasm and an attitude that made the customer feel dismissed. Watching her treat both customers this way was uncomfortable and showed a lack of professionalism. I understand that people have hard days and that working with the public can be challenging, but when someone chooses a role in customer service there is a responsibility to treat people with respect and basic courtesy. We are all human beings and no one deserves to feel talked down to or brushed off. Bealls is an important part of our community and I want to continue supporting it, but experiences like this make it difficult to return. Service sets the tone for a business and interactions like this can push loyal customers away. I truly hope management addresses this because no customer should leave feeling the way I did today.

  I love shopping at Bealls Outlet. I always find a bargain or two. You have to be selective and discrimating, but there are some fabulous finds when you know what to look for. I spend hours in their stores.
