Garbage service at the gun counter from the older guy who was helping no one unless they checked in then was still not wanting to be anything but annoyed by my presence.

Gun counter is a joke takes forever people behind the counter are not knowledgeable and they have to check your 4473 several times before they send it off for approval which takes much longer than any other gun store I’ve ever bought a gun at

If I could give more stars, I would. I need to honor an Individual named John in archery that helped my daughter and I purchase our first compound bow. John went above and beyond to make sure our new bow was setup properly, that we were making the right decisions and prepared my daughter and I how to handle, shoot, hold, and use our new bow. If you’re going to be looking into archery or purchasing anything related, please go see John. The man deserves the highest levels of respect and honor. I hope mangement from the store sees this. Please celebrate John, treat him right, and congratulate him for ensuring your customer stays loyal. His service is well above the level of expectation I have when visiting a store.

This was my first time visiting this Bass Pro Shops, and I was genuinely excited. As a retired Army veteran, I was looking forward to a relaxed, memorable experience with my wife. Unfortunately, that’s not what we got. Instead, we were made to feel watched, followed, and profiled almost immediately. Multiple employees — and what appeared to be secret shoppers — hovered around us the entire time. It was obvious, uncomfortable, and completely unnecessary. There’s no other way to describe it than shopping while Black. Browsing a store shouldn’t feel like being under surveillance. I found myself forced into awkward small talk with employees just to ease the tension and make it clear I “belonged” there — which is ridiculous and exhausting. No customer should feel that pressure. This experience took what should have been a positive outing and turned it into a disappointing one. Bass Pro Shops markets itself as welcoming and family-friendly, but that was not reflected in how we were treated. Do better. Respect all customers equally.

Just left bass pro 230 on a saturday . Almost everyone in the store was polite, courteous and friendly except the clerk who checked us out. I guess im not the right kind of customer, white, 62 and buying christmas presents. I spoke directly- twice- to the young non white manager behind the counter who proceeded to ignore me during checkout. The terminal was not functioning and i asked him if i should pull my card out- nothing- even made eye contact. I thanked him For ringing us up, happy holidays, again ignored wife and i and walked away. It was blanrantly obvious it was a racist moment...last time for me at this place...his earrings were really nice though...
