  If I could pick zero stars I would. We called Darryl’s to find out if they had any grommets for an early 1900’s foot pedal for my wife’s Singer Model 15 sewing machine that I was going to be reworking the electrical on. The lady was friendly on the phone and asked us to bring the foot petal into the store and they were sure it was in the back. I had all ready measured the size of the hole for the grommet and it was 9mm, exactly the size on multiple website. We go in the store and are assisted and the person we spoke to said it was a 6mm opening, never pulled out a measuring tape and measured the hole. The person did not have one in stock. My wife asked about a belt for the machine, knowing she always bought the belt at Joann’s, she was told to bring in the entire machine so they could make sure it fit. Needless to say we left. From the parking lot we called Hall’s hardware in Milton and was told they were sure they had the size. We arrived, we were greeted my a very nice man (Kevin). He measured the hole on the foot petal, went to a drawer and guess what, he pulled out a 9mm grommet that fit perfectly. I bought two for $.25 each. Kevin was so enamored by the foot petal and motor we brought in he asked the history, showed a couple of his regulars. He cared. We will never return to Daryl’s, the repair person did not care about our needs, he was only interested in helping some else with a high dollar need. I guess us poor folks will go where every customer is treated equally. The only customer the repair person cared about are the ones that sped over $$ dollars on a machine. Good luck Darryl’s. We don’t need your service and we will let everyone know out experience.

  The kindest people. Always so helpful. I recently had a “small” accident with my machine. They were so gracious to help me and had my machine back to me almost the moment after they received the parts I had to have. They will always be my go to store! The employees all seem to get along and everyone seems to like their job. Thank you all for everything!
