I had a bad experience with a cashier in the Tatooine Traders gift shop. The employee had a mental breakdown and just walked away from the register to head to the back of the employee break room with no explanation.
I was standing behind ladies who were looking at a catalog of pins when they saw I was waiting to check out. They were on the left side of the register and said “Oh go ahead, we’re just looking at pins.” I proceed to walk to right of the register to get out of their way and waited for the cashier to check me out. Out of the no where, a family comes up and throws their items to the left side of the register where the ladies were looking at pins and she proceeds to check them out. I thought, okay no harm no foul. It’s just one line cutter. We made eye contact so clearly I should be next. I was wrong.
After about 4 or so minutes of her checking the person out, she then proceeds to check the next person out behind them. At this point I had to say something. I said, “Ma’am, I’ve been standing here for over 5 minutes and was here before the guy you are checking out now and the one customer before. You saw me standing here trying to get out of the way of the ladies looking at pins and you let the other people cut in front.” At this point the cashier got defensive and said it’s busy and she can’t see the lines. I said I get it’s busy but you have to have situational awareness of your surroundings and see where people are standing in line. She then proceeded to mumble something under her breath and storm off to talk to some other cashier, and then walked to the back where someone else came and checked me out. The new cashier was very pleasant and helped get the stuffed animal we bought on my son’s shoulder so he could wear it.
I can’t remember this young lady’s name with blonde hair, but she was from Orlando on her name tag, which is also where I also grew up. She didn’t handle the situation properly and seemed like something else is bothering her. If the manager reads the comments then you might want to check on her to get her help. She seems like she can’t handle busy and stressful environments very well. Perhaps repurpose her to a part of the park that isn’t so stressful for her. Or maybe put up ropes to control the lines so people can check out without people cutting in line.
This should all be on camera since I know you have them. Around 3:15pm on December 27th.

The Star Tours riders spills out into this shop, so it was always shoulder-to-shoulder crowded. I try to find a little corner just for a breather or when I'm waiting for some people to walk away from the merchandise that I want to look at. Several months ago (way before Galaxy's Edge), we encountered a superb worker. He made our shopping experience enlightening. He was very sweet and helpful. The only bad thing was the amount of money I spent there. They had tons of cool Star Wars Jedi robes, hats, t-shirts, mugs, key chains, figurines, toys, towels, books, backpacks, signed photographs, etc. You can even build a retractable lightsaber for you or your kid. Great shop for the SW fandom.
TIP: They don't allow strollers in the shop.
