Way overpriced what a shame for everyone goodwill has turned into an antique store/ vintage boutique supposed to be to help the community the only people they are helping is gulf coast goodwills CEO that’s why I’m so particular about where I donate my stuff why would I donate to a for profit company so some suits can get rich selling my stuff at eBay prices I mean really folks wake up post it on Facebook for free or to a church. But not to Salvation Army! They may be even worse only 9 cents per dollar actually go to people in need! Sad times. Now watch the response it’s going to be the same one everyone else got. Time to start a boycott! And put them out of business for good!

Goodwill has completely lost the plot when it comes to pricing and customer experience.
You’re honestly better off buying brand new at this point. I went in recently looking for a simple mason jar—nothing special—and it was priced at $12. Twelve dollars. You can get one cheaper (and brand new) at HomeGoods. That completely defeats the purpose of shopping at Goodwill.
It didn’t stop there. There was a desk priced at $300, despite similar desks being available online for practically free. They also had an office chair marked at $300, and it wasn’t even in good condition. These are antique-store prices, not thrift-store prices—especially considering these items were donated.
It’s obvious the manager researches everything before putting it out, but the result feels wildly disconnected from what Goodwill is supposed to be. Thrifting should be accessible and affordable, not an overpriced scavenger hunt.
To top it off, an employee literally yelled at me in front of other customers. I was planning on purchasing items, but after that interaction, I put everything down and walked out. Completely unacceptable behavior.
