Customer service is just disgusting at sportsmen’s warehouse. I’ll never shop here again, and I suggest you don’t either.

Was told the vibe was "off" in this store but I went anyway to look at some firearms. I immediately understood what I was told. Was never asked if I needed help or to see anything; employees just kept talking as I walked around them. I went to another store, was immediately welcomed and assisted with patience. I ended up purchasing the $1300 firearm I had intended to purchase here at the other store (in Yulee) with accessories. Will not be going again. Trash for some but not for all.

am extremely disappointed with my experience at Sportsman’s Warehouse.
I purchased a firearm and complied with Florida’s required three-day waiting (cooling-off) period. After waiting the required time, I drove two hours to the store to pick up my firearm. When I arrived at the counter and completed the ATF Form 4473 for my background check, the employee told me I would have to wait another three days before I could receive my gun.
I explained that I had already completed the legally required waiting period, but I was told that their policy states the waiting period starts only after the background check is filled out. This is not Florida law. Florida law requires a waiting period between purchase and delivery—not between the background check and delivery.
I calmly asked if there was any way they could help, considering I had followed the law and driven a long distance. I was not asking for anything illegal. The response I received was dismissive and unprofessional. I was told they “didn’t care” and that I would receive my firearm only when they decided, regardless of the law or the inconvenience caused.
If Sportsman’s Warehouse has an internal policy that goes beyond state law, customers should be clearly informed before purchase—not after waiting days and driving hours. The lack of knowledge of Florida firearm law, combined with the rude attitude, made this a very frustrating experience.
I expected professionalism, respect, and accurate legal information. Unfortunately, I received none of that.
