  Let this be a caution tale to all. I’m in complete shock at the lack of user friendly return services that Express has. I went To 3 Express stores today (this one included), I purchased an Olive Green suit at Express in dadeland mall Miami. Needed to return it so I went today to do that and the first Express store I went to is located in plantation Broward Mall, where I was told that because this was something that was purchased in a retail store it couldn’t be returned there, it was an outlet. First of all, never heard of such thing. The guy at the store said to go to Sawgrass Mills or back to Dadeland (where I was over an hour away from) and return it there. I told him that they weren’t making it feasible for me the costumer, to process a simple return. The guy basically said “no sorry we’re separate from Express retail”. I drove 20 mins to Sawgrass where one of the cash register people tells me basically the same thing, I told her that this is unacceptable, i’ve never had an issue with purchasing one thing at a location of a specific brand and returning or exchanging it at another location. I asked to speak to the manager who was of no help either (Sawgrass location) That’s the whole point why multiple locations exist. And even if that was their policy, I asked the girl that worked there to point to me on the receipt on where does it say “This item was purchased at a retail store so any exchanges and returns need to be made only at retail locations”(vice versa) I asked her for proof of their policy. Also, when you search up Express on maps, they all say EXPRESS, non say retail or outlet next to the store name. The girl simply pointed at the “Express” logo at the top of the receipt, it was at this point where I completely lost it. Because she made it seem like it was obvious. So then I went on to read every word on the receipt to her out loud, where it even spoke about holiday deals (it’s February) and “all clearance prices ending in .97 are final sale. No returns or exchanges” “in-store return by date: 2/27/2026” “have u completed your profile? Head to express dot com insider to access perks” these were the only things written on there. I then decided to call the location in sunrise blvd, before wasting my time, where the girl working there told me that if I had purchased something at Dadeland, they can accept returns. She was lovely, heard my ordeal and apologized. Honestly, this left a bad taste in my mouth, cause at the end of the day, it’s the same freaking company. Yall could’ve simply processed my refund and mailed it to the correct location, something, anything, but dont tell me that I have to drive to a whole different location, just because I the customer, is suppose to assume u guys have different suppliers, warehouses, whatever. Fix your shit.
