She refused to help with the return or even offer store credit, even though the online policy said it could be done. Instead of explaining things politely, she called my girlfriend rude and sensitive — which was completely unnecessary since my girlfriend never cursed or raised her voice. The way we were treated was unacceptable. We left feeling disrespected and frustrated. Definitely not the kind of service you’d expect from American Eagle.

The associate was extremely rude — she called me rude and sensitive even though I never cursed or raised my voice. I just wanted to understand why I couldn’t get a refund or even store credit, especially since online it clearly says I can return in-store. Instead of helping, she dismissed me and sent me over to the Aerie cashier without trying to resolve the issue. I’ve always liked shopping here, but after being treated that way, I don’t feel comfortable coming back.
