  Sun+sand+water=fun This is the beach to check out, a lot going on with sand volleyball and surfing. Big enough that you can still find a quiet spot for reading or a nap.

  I visited The Pier Shop in Cocoa Beach FL with my two children and experienced a deeply upsetting incident. I live with Crohn’s disease, a federally recognized disability under the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). During my visit, I urgently needed restroom access due to a medical flare and politely explained my condition to the staff. They refused to allow me to use the restroom, even after I explained it was a medical emergency. As a result, I suffered an accident in public , something no person with a chronic illness should have to endure. The lack of empathy and understanding shown was inhumane and discriminatory. Businesses should be aware that Crohn’s disease is a protected disability, and denying access to basic facilities in a medical emergency violates both human decency and the ADA’s spirit of equal access. I hope management takes this seriously and ensures no other person with a health condition is ever treated this way.

  The shop at cocoa beach pier was awesome! The hat I got there was super unique! We will be back for some stickers! There is one I’m mad I didn’t get this past week! We need Pier magnets!!

  Last night I drove 40 minutes just to get something from their store. I arrived at 6:14 and they were closed. I asked a gentleman outside why they were closed, as the hours said they were open until 8:00. He said they closed because it was raining and they didn’t think they would have a lot of customers. If your hours are posted that you are open until 8:00, you should stay until 8:00!!
