  Went to buy sunscreen. Sent my wife in with my card while I used the bathroom and the black lady with white hair told her she couldn’t even use the cash in my wallet after she input the wrong card number in for my card. Very unprofessional. She needs fired. Spent money elsewhere. Lost my money for sure at this business. Do not go. Very unlikely recommend.

  Super easy beach acess from the hotel we stayed at. Big store with lots of great selection however as it's a tourist location and everything is overpriced. There's a bald man that works there who's a total jerk. I purchased my 3 kids pre-made "henna" tattoos that were advertised to last up to a month however we put them on and the next day they came almost completely off after entering the water not even 24 hours later. He immediately said there's no refunds and accused me of not following the instructions correctly or not waiting long enough before getting them wet (we waited over 15 hours) and when the manager came over he made a snarky comment about me being upset about my temporary tattoos being temporary. So incredibly rude. The manager lady was very nice and explained to me that they were owned by a separate place and that I needed to come back to talk to them about it.

  I purchased over $100 worth of shirts at Surf Style on March 9th, as gifts for family. We returned home April 1 and I was able to share the shirts with my daughter, who lives 3 hours away from me, on April 8th. She washed them before they were even worn and one shirt has the printing design already peeled off. I contacted Surf Style on April 11th about the problem, provided photos and the receipt, with an answer that they don't refund after 30 days... a difference of 2 days between purchase and my contacting them. We were in Madeira Beach for 5 weeks and couldn't even get home to share the shirts and find out one was faulty within that time frame. I have shopped there for 17 years but unfortunately I will not spend money there again because they care nothing about customer service or goodwill. Too many other good places to shop in the area to give money to that business again. Think about it before you shop there as well. Surf Style

  Unhappy with our experience. Buy 3 get one free tees offer was misleading, and multiple tees we purchased are ruined after the first wash. See pic. We also bought a beach umbrella. Took it to the beach and it was defective, the spokes were bent at the top. Walked back to the store SEVEN minutes later (I had the receipt/timestamp) and they refused to exchange it as all sales are final.

  Went shopping at surf style and they do a free hour with purchase I assume so you have time to shop, they use to do 2 hours with a purchase which is more reasonable for the size of the store. I shopped for 35 45 min which I feel is a more than resonable amount of time and went to pay. I spent almost 15min waiting in line to pay. I ask the cashier if I pay for this; it was 138 my hour was up at 143, will I get the free hour. He says depends how fast you walk. I've been here before and paying for parking at the machine can take awhile and I didn't wanna buy a 40 dollar shirt and get charged 20 bucks for parking. I said I was leaving right then and he does nothing to reassure me i wont also have to pay for parking, he goes do you want it or not. So I said no and left. The stuff in the store is already so over priced to pay for parking on top is a crime. Horrible customer service and unbelievable to lose a sale and not help a customer. The attitude of people in the service industry is disgusting anymore. These people shouldn't even have a job. I know one person doesn't make a difference to them but I won't be back.
