  I am no longer shopping at nordstrom or nordstrom rack. I tried a upper end soap bar (chanel) product that was not the quality I expected. I was told to return it from the nordstrom tampa location. Well I live 40 to 50 minutes away so I called nordstrom rack in clearwater and asked if I can return the soap to their store the store said yes. I told them I used one of the soaps before I even went to return the soap. The lady said yes come in and the clearwater nordstrom rack will return the product with no problems. I had my receipt it should of been an easy return. The lady behind the register was very nice but had to call her manager to help finish the return that is when I became quite embarrassed because the manager questioned that the one soap was used with no box. I dried out the used soap and had it in a ziplock bag with the other boxed soap which had tissue paper around it still and it was never opened in perfect condition. Now both soaps where on the counter one opened one in the box. The manager looked at the soap with a nasty face look looked at me and the register cashier who touched the soap and the manager proceeded to tell me to put the soap back into the ziplock bag. Ok that was quite embarrassing! The manager started even saying she couldn't return it because I didn't have the package for the one I used. Well I never thought I would have a problem with a well known chanel soap brand. So I told her I will take it back to the tampa store if there's a problem but I did call the nordstrom rack store before I even came to do the return and asked if I could return it to her store and the lady said yes come in. Anyways I was so embarrassed for myself and the cashier who took it out of the bag. Now remember the soap was dry and the new soap box was in perfect condition. The manager had me feel like I was a not to par person as in not good enough to shop at nordstrom. I am very hurt and embarrassed by her actions. I will no longer shop at any nordstroms. No one deserves to be treated like the way I was treated. I also feel bad for the lady who helped me with the return. I remember a time you could return anything to nordstroms without a problem. So after all the embarrassment I went through. I decided to go to Macy's to buy my two chanel perfumes. Oh I also bought the lotions that go with the purfume. So in the long run you lost a customer nordstrom.
