- EFEmanuel FernándezDec 6, 20251.0Unprofessional and uncomfortable experience due to poor manager behavior. My girlfriend works at another J.Crew location, and when we visited the J.Crew at Aventura Mall, everything was fine at first. The issue started the moment she mentioned using her employee discount at checkout. Right after that, a woman came out from the back and told the manager that my girlfriend had put back the clothes she wasn’t buying. That’s when the manager — a man around 50–60 years old with white hair — suddenly changed his tone and spoke to her in a rude, condescending way, telling her she needed to go hang the clothes back herself. There was no designated place to leave unwanted items, and there were no signs or instructions anywhere saying customers were responsible for rehanging items. The way he said it was extremely uncomfortable and felt like he was talking down to her, not like a professional manager addressing a situation respectfully. Customers should not be spoken to in a disrespectful tone, especially when the situation could have been handled calmly and politely. The entire interaction felt unnecessary, awkward, and left a very bad impression. This experience really changed how we view this location. Poor communication and an unprofessional attitude from a manager can ruin an entire visit — and that’s exactly what happened here. Didn’t end up buying because of the experience.
