  First off I understand why you have to have stringent controls on gun and ammo purchasing. However, your people that work the gun counter are the rudest people I have the displeasure of ATTEMPTING to ask a question about where something might be. Just today there was one customer and 2 employees. I had simple question about where scope covers would be and his nice response was “Take a number”. Are you kidding me?? I in turn said something rude back and he then pointed and said “over there”. This was not the first time I’ve had this type of interaction with these gun people. I will say that 90% of the employees I have dealt with are fantastic. Remember that there are plenty of other places to purchase weapons and ammo. I for one shop elsewhere. Remember Cabelas, you are NOT too big to fail.

  Bought a compound bow from website and picked it up and tried to get it set up for me by one of the employees, and that was a big mistake ... to start, employee was annoyed that he had to work... I thought he would be knowledgeable about archery but he wasn't... during set up he stripped 2 screws and couldn't get them out, then de decided to drill them out and scratch my new bow while doings so... very disappointed ab the quality of service.. I wouldn't get your bow set up by Cabela atleast not with out watching there every move and decisions

  I go here to dream. Its a fine place to dream. I imagine myself buying a bit of everything, but usually leave with some snacks

  Cabela's in Newark is great. I had a fantastic experience buying my first sporting shotgun. If you purchase a firearm - ask for Mike! Extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and patient through the whole process. Will be going back in the future.

  Cabela's was fine. The Christiana Mall area on the other hand was a different story. It's the only reason they don't get 5 stars ... It was the first nice day we'd had in weeks, and I suppose everyone was getting "cabin fever". The mall parking lot was loaded, as if it were the holidays all over again. Snow was melting, adding a glare to the road, making it difficult to see lines. I avoid the mall most of the year because the parking lot (to me) is chaos. I guess I'm just not used to it After negotiating the parking lot and finally getting to Cabela's things were much better. It is time to start upgrading my fishing gear, and I ended up with a new rod and reel and a tackle box. Inside Cabela's, I'm like a kid in a candy store. After the parking lot madness the first place I wanted to go to was the aquarium. There are huge trout, and they looked healthy. If you're ok with the mall parking fiasco, get out to Cabela's. The warm season will be here before you know it. Get ready... I for one just wish they had another location...
