We make timeless clothes that last a lifetime…then pair them with of-the-moment styles season after season, decade after decade. We think that distinct heritage pairs perfectly with modern design and fabric technology. We believe in feel-good color…Even if black or navy makes you feel best, we’re here for that. We’re the experts in signature categories: cashmere, coats, blazers, pants—and we also collaborate with the coolest brands out there because we know that creativity is contagious. We consider leopard a neutral, speak stripes fluently and live for a great gingham. We’ve had your back for over 35 years, and we’re convinced there’s no better expert on our clothes than you, our customer.
New location, same poor service. You’d think that the hiatus during the relocation would change the staff’s attitudes at this location. It’s sad because this is the only location left in the city.

As a long time J Crew fan I was a little surprised by the customer service I encountered at this location. I was harassed out of the fitting room within 5 minutes of entering, and the same sales associate verbally harassed another and made snide comments as I was browsing. I’ve seen this unprofessional associate at the Georgetown locations a number of times over the years, but this was exceptionally off-putting, not at all what I’m used to with J Crew.

Stopped by today on 6/29 around 11 a.m. Had a bad experience with an angry salesperson behind the register who displayed extremely rude behavior towards me. I doubt this incident will make me want to return. To make matters worse, when I purchased a necklace, it was thrown on the counter with anger. I left the store feeling extremely disappointed. That person completely ruined my entire day. J Crew is not what it used to be, and it's truly disheartening.

I had issues with a bridesmaid dress that I ordered (on sale) online so made an appointment to come in for a fitting. The consultant (I think her name was Jessie) was very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. She wasn't pushy and was very honest. I tried on the dress I originally purchased and then a few more than she brought over. In the end, instead of talking me in to buying a new and more expensive dress, she offered to returned the dress I bought and reorder it in a better size. After I left she called me to let me know that the dress was now on final sale but she added a provision so I could exchange it within 60 days should I have problems AND (the best part) she added a new sale code to get me 40% off! $107 for a bridesmaid dress?? Can't beat it! :) Highly recommend going there over a pushy boutique.
