To protect the integrity of the Sales Specialist, I'll refrain from using their name.
I first visited the Tiny Jewel Box in early 2022, prior to the expansion of their Rolex showroom. During that visit, I met with a Sales Specialist, expressed my interest in a few specific models, provided my contact information, "wishlist", and left.
I revisited the Tiny Jewel Box at the end of 2023 and again in February 2024 and met with the same Sales Specialist. We spoke again about the models of interest and my "wishlist." Following, the Sales Specialist asked me to send an email reiterating the conversation, my expression of interest to work with the Tiny Jewel Box, and "wishlist", which I did.
Prior to leaving the store during the February 2024 visit, the Sales Specialist asked me if I parked in the garage, I responded "no, because the clearance and spots are too tight." The Sales Specialist then asked, "what kind of car is it?" Though I found this question to be inappropriate, I responded.
After responding with the make, the Sales Specialist laughingly said, "Oh What a Piece of Shit."
I'm not a dramatic person, I brushed it off and figured the Sales Specialist had a strange way of establishing rapport. Mind you, in the three visits to the Jewel Box I've never engaged in "playful banter", used profanity, nor indulged in the exchange of insults with the Sales Specialist.
I revisited the Tiny Jewel Box in April 2024 with no intention to meet with the same Sales Specialist, though I was encouraged to do so when I arrived by the other Sales representatives. Nonetheless, I met with the Sales Specialist, and once more expressed the same interest and "wishlist." After this visit, the Sales Specialist asked me to send an email reiterating the conversation, my expression of interest, and "wishlist."
I found this request to be odd and redundant, considering we've met four times to-date of that visit and I had already sent an email of such, as the Sales Specialist requested back in February 2024. Nonetheless, and once more, I sent the email.
I revisited the Tiny Jewel Box in November in 2024. The store was less busy and the Sales Specialist and I greeted one another upon entry into the Rolex area. The Sales Specialist reaches for my wrist and at glance of my watch says "you're embarrassing me."
Not only insulting me, but also the other brands that the Tiny Jewel Box sells. Again, I'm not one for the drama nor playful banter, so I dismissed it as an odd attempt at humor.
As we made our way to be seated, the Sales Specialist seemed to have much more bandwidth than previous visits and we began to collectively review / discuss a few models. In conversation, the Sales Specialist kept making unwarranted sarcastic and expressive comments. It was noticeable that I began to lose interest and the conversation began to dry. Upon conclusion of the visit, the Sales Specialist asked me, once again, but this time to send a text message reiterating the conversation, my expression of interest, and "wishlist", which I did.
After leaving my office early in February 2025, I figured I'd stop by the Tiny Jewel Box to follow-up. I was greeted by a different Sales Specialist and was informed (after asking) that the Specialist I have been speaking to was off for the day.
This Sales Specialist asked for my information to ensure that my customer profile was current. After providing my information, and ironically enough, my information was not in their customer repository and a customer profile never had been created. The original Sales Specialist I've been speaking with for years, never created a customer profile for me.
It’s disturbingly ironic that in an industry revered for precision, meticulous craftsmanship, and timeless elegance, a sales representative that represents not only the Tiny Jewel Box, but brands that are over 100 years old, feels entitled to hurl insults at a customer with blatant disregard. This isn’t just a lapse in professionalism, but also undermines the very values the watch industry was built on.
