I noticed none of the disdain often flashed by young employees when this old body staggers in. Anyway, he pointed me to the area I needed. After finding the jacket, and while checking out, I asked if he was alone in the store. It must have startled him, because almost instantly another person appeared out of nowhere, smiled that smile that says: "Don't try anything buddy!". I still can't figure out where she came from, but I'm sure the young man pushed a panic button. Actually, the whole thing was very pleasant.

She never spoke down to him, never rushed him, and never treated him differently. That level of awareness and humanity is rare and deeply appreciated. John wants nothing more than to be treated like everyone else, and she delivered exactly that. Her kindness, thoughtful communication, and outstanding service made the entire experience joyful and memorable. Employees like her are the reason people return to a store—not just for the products, but for how they are made to feel. Please recognize her for her exemplary service.
