  Called to order an extra buckle for my Patek strap/watch and they told me the watch had to be put on a machine to determine the model, etc. ,etc. Huh.... Didn't seem like they were interested in my business. Told the sales person I was 1.5 hrs. away and that didn't matter. I kindly asked the sales person again - I know the exact buckle i would like to order - nope had to go to the store. If that's their policy - that's unfortunate, hence the review. Hung up the phone and called Wempe in NYC. No problem. I never had to go to H. Stern in NYC to order my strap accessories - all done via phone and email (they unfortunately no longer do accessories). I have ordered many Patek straps, buckles, etc. over the years without an issue. If this is the way of Patek and their ADs in the future, I'll pivot to VC, Lange, Breguet, etc.
