  I have been a loyal Oakley fan for years. Have probably owned 20+ pairs of Oakley sunglasses and several pairs of Oakley prescription glasses. Also own tons of Oakley apparel. Many years ago I had an arm break on a pair of Oakley sunglasses and Oakley stood behind their product and replaced them. I have been a loyal customer ever since. Well that ends today. I have a $400+ pair of Oakley Carbon Blade sunglasses that I am extremely careful with. Well the stud that the screw goes in that holds then lens to the frame literally fell out of the carbon fiber. You can clearly tell from looking at the pictures I attached that this is a manufacturer defect and not wear & tear or accidental damage. I went to my local Oakley store and was told they would give me 25% off a new pair (which would still cost me well in excess of $300) or to go to Lens Crafters and they would repair at my expense. Lens Crafters said Oakley is mistaken, they have no such arrangement. I call Oakley to file a warranty claim and its a chat bot/automated system. They send me a text message to fill out a claim form from some 3rd party in like Malaysia or something. I fill out the form, upload pictures etc. They send me a link to accept a warranty claim/offer for a discounted pair of frames but the link doesn’t work. I get an error message in spanish that says try again later. I email customer service and they say there is nothing they can do except give me a 30% off code. I go to buy the new sunglasses and the code doesnt work because the pair I own is on sale for $400 vs $420 and the code doesnt work on Sale items. What a complete run around and waste of my time. Shame on you Oakley. You used to sell quality products that you stood behind. Now you sell poorly made frames and your outsourced customer service is absolutely terrible. Guess Ray Ban is getting a new customer for the next 30 years. ✌🏼 ***Update Oakley corporate reached out and gave me 50% off a new pair of glasses which seems like a fair compromise to me so I adjusted the review accordingly ***
