  Linda L in the boat parts and service department is incredible. She is knowledgeable, communicates often, and is just generally nice. Highly recommend her if you need parts for your boat. The whole service department seems great there too.

  My wife and I do not go to Cabela's in East Hartford, CT very often, but we decided to make a special trip there yesterday. I wanted to pick up some new Merrell hiking shoes for an upcoming trip. Jamal was very helpful helping my find the pair I wanted. As we walked through the store we found many other clothing items to buy for both of us. My wife even found jeans she liked in her hard-to-find size 2. Many of these items had Member Pricing discounts shown on the racks. I did not have my Cabela's loyalty card with me, but expected they could look it up at the register. After listening to him complain about their computer system, unable to find my info, the cashier sent me to "The Club" booth at the entrance to either get a temporary card, or perhaps sign my wife up for a card of her own. However, we were told that the only person who could do this just left on break and would not return for half an hour. She told us to go wait in line at Customer Service to see if they could help. After another 5 to 10 minutes we were "helped" by a rather uninterested employee telling us he could not help us either. I told him we only wanted to get our Member pricing where applicable, and would worry about recovering my card later. He told us that this program was being phased out and offered only to put the items we wanted back on the shelf for us! He took all of our items and we headed for the door. So after nearly an hour shopping and trying on clothes, we ended up with NOTHING. The store lost hundreds of dollars in sales as well. This was such an unpleasant experience, I doubt we will ever bother to return to this store.
