I was simply trying to figure out if my gear setup would work together and asked a few questions about the return policy to be sure. Instead of being helpful, it felt like some of the staff were flagging me and warning each other to “watch” my return. I'm 25 and I value being treated with respect as an adult, but I didn't feel like I was given the benefit of the doubt at all. I actually followed the policy and didn't use the item, yet I was still met with suspicion. I'm only giving two stars because there was one younger employee who was actually very helpful and seemed to care, but the rest of the experience was unwelcoming. I ended up finishing my shopping at REI where the atmosphere is much more trusting. I think the team here could benefit from being a bit more trusting and less defensive with customers.
