  I bought four pairs of Costa sunglasses from a nice kid at Sunglass Hut in Cabelas. I bought a pair for me, my wife and two daughters. I went back and returned a pair because my wife said a two hundred dollar pair of sunglasses for a twelve year old was to expensive plus the twelve year old didn't like them. I also traded back my wifes pair for a more expensive pair because she wanted glass lenses. The lady that helped me (Chris) was very irritated with me for returning them. I had bought them with gift cards and returning the money was a problem for her. She had to get help from a Cabelas employee. My other daughter lives in Vail and has not had time to come down and trade hers because she doesn't like them. The glasses have been in the case on the kitchen table since Christmas and have never been worn. She called me and asked me to get a refund on them because you only have so much time to return them and she didn't know when she would be able to come down again from Vail. She said the next time she was down, we could go back to Cabelas and get her another pair. As soon as I walked up to the counter this same Chris lady was already irritated with me because she knew I was there to return the other glasses. She was so grumpy it was ridiculous. She took the glasses and started cleaning them and said the glasses were scratched. Then she walked off. She came back and asked me if I could see the scratch. I said no but i believed her it was there. I explained to her that the glasses had never been worn only tried on. I told her if there was a scratch that it was there when we bought them. She in her very rude tone told me that she could not return the glasses. I talked to the Cabelas manager and he said there was nothing he could do. He came over and talked to the lady and asked if she had a number that I could call. She said no, that I could leave my number and that I would receive a call. I told her that she shouldn't be so rude and she kicked me out of her store. I have been shopping at that Cabelas since it opened. Everyone that knows me knows how much time I spend there. The people there always go out of there way to help you. In fact on the same trip, John back in there bow hunting department, looked through my new/used crossbow and showed me how to work it and what I needed for it. He's a great person. it just seems weird to me that they are in Cabelas, I got a Cabelas receipt but Cabelas couldn't do anything to help me. I know for a fact that manager (Bob) would have helped if he could because he is a good dude.I also can't believe that a lady that rude is able to operate in a Cabelas while everyone else working around her is so nice and helpful. Bottom line, this is almost the same thing that happened to the person that wrote the review right before me. I will continue to go to Cabelas because I love the place but I won't spend a dime at that Sunglass Hut as long as Chris is working there. I'll spend my money where my business is appreciated and I don't seem like such a burden to the employee. I really think if Cabeals is going to let Sunglass Hut be in their store that they should hold them to the same high standard they hold themselves to.

  Great place to buy sunglasses. Awesome assortment and knowledgeable staff help you pick out the right pair for your needs. Can't pass on the convenience of being inside Cabela's and being able to get all my outdoor shopping done in one place.

  I bought a pair of Oakley Holbrook sunglasses from what I thought was Cabela’s On 4/25/19. I had the glasses for around 5 weeks when one of the temple pieces (long ear piece parts) became unglued from the hinge. There was no “break”, the glue simply failed. Upon further inspection, it became clear to me that during manufacturing, Oakley may have failed to use enough adhesive. I set the defective glasses in the door of my truck, and waited a couple of weeks until I had time to drive to the Cabela’s which was 30 minutes away from my home to deal with the return. During that time, the lenses became slightly blemished. Once at Cabela’s, I was informed that the sunglasses were actually purchased from “Sunglasses Hut” not Cabela’s, even though my receipt, and credit card transaction said Cabela’s. Additionally, the transaction was made at the Cabela’s customer service counter. The gentleman at the Sunglasses Hut named Max looked at the sunglasses, and said that ultimately, since the glasses had minor blemishes on the lenses, they would not be able to honor their written 24 month “Assured Quality” defect policy. I find this insane. My $200 sunglasses broke because of adhesive failure, and because the lenses have minor scratches, the defect doesn’t matter? I wasn’t asking for money back, just an exchange for the exact same pair of sunglasses. I need to mention that Cabelas system was down, and they were unable to look up my receipt. But I also would like to make it clear that Max had said that wether I had the receipt or not wouldn’t change his decision to deny exchanging my glasses. Ultimately, I feel scammed by Sunglass Hut and Cabelas. I now have a 2 month old pair of useless $200 sunglasses. I expected better from Cabelas, and their affiliates. Update - They took care of my glasses. Review Changed to 4 stars.
