  Very small section for men’s and the rest of the store is all for women’s. I understand that we men don’t buy as many shoes but come on. I brought this to an employee’s attention and she made a face about it. I’ll be shopping for shoes at other fair shoe stores

  DSW at Park Meadows in Lonetree, Colorado 1/4/2026. I came in to return a pair of Sketchers I bought on 1/2/26 because the right shoe fit very loose compared to the left. Also the instep did not cover the booties I wear with sports shoes. and so I wanted a return in exchange for another pair. I have never had a problem with one shoe being that loose. I found the pair I wanted to purchase. They were $85.00 and more than the discounted shoes I was returning. I noticed the soles on the new shoes were very dirty and the front top part dirty too. Even though they did not look new, i was willing to buy them. I asked for a little discount since it looked they were used and returned. Jasmine said 'no, that the store floors were very dirty and DIRT was from folks trying shoes on and walking around the store! She could not see anything that would warrant a discount. She also said something like 'they get upset if we discount '. I asked who is 'they"? She said Corporate '. I asked for her Mgr and she said she was not in nor could she give me her schedule as to when she would be in. She said I would be receiving a survey and I could reply there about my store experience. Jasmine offered to order a brand new pair and issue me a store credit. I declined and asked for the refund on my personal card that I originally paid for the shoes I returned. She complied. I don't think a little 5-10% discount on a pair of $85.00 shoes would break the bank for DSW. A pidly few dollars are more important to DSW than keeping a customer happy and loyal which is poor Corporate policy. There are so many other stores to purchase shoes from that will be getting my business. Thank goodness DSW isn't the only 'show in town'. Also, coordinate the website hours with what is posted with scotch tape on the entrance door on a tacky, unprofessional piece of paper. Jasmine said this is what Corporate sent them.

  If you are a person of color you are not welcomed here. The short white woman with blonde curly hair was extremely rude and did not acknowledge us while waiting for a pick up order. She was very dismissive and treated us as if she did not want to be bothered. When asking questions about my online order she instantly walked off and of course did not thank us for business or tell us to have a good day. Due to the bad customer service we returned our other purchases, again I walk up and say “Hi” to the brown curly haired woman and she did not say a word. She asked why are we returning and we told her our return was due to the poor customer service and again not a word. Do not spend your money with these hateful people. I will be calling corporate as it unacceptable to treat people differently based on how they look and our money is just as good as anyone else’s.
