- PLP LOct 23, 20252.0Purchased a pullover and got the wrong size at the Castle Rock Factory location. Returned the item 35 days later to the University store and was told by Lyric a “manager” that she wouldn’t honor the exchange despite having a stack of these pull overs at 70% off. She said it was store policy and that basically I was stuck with the shirt. I am a loyal customer and spend a lot of money with this chain but there was no effort by Lyric “the manager” to accommodate. I called the Castle Rock store and talked to Jennifer who immediately said “you are a great customer, please come by and we will hold the correct size for you”. Now I ask you, how does J Crew train their “managers”? I was 5 days outside the window and there was no effort to even ask her boss Jaime, the real manager, if they could help me. In the end Jaime made the exchange and I was on my way, but I seriously wonder why J Crew would jeopardize losing a loyal customer with a J Crew account over being 5 days outside the 30 day return window. Also found out that Lyric may not exactly have the title of manager. There are plenty of great on line options to purchase clothing similar to J Crew. Maybe time to look at the alternatives.
