Walked into Madewell this week and worked with stylist, Brenna. She was AMAZING. So knowledgable and helpful. I tried on atleast 15 pairs of jeans and she was so so so patient. Will continue to shop at Madewell because of stylists like Brenna!

They have only been carrying this belt for the past 6 months. I bought it sometime over the summer and as you can see the two sides came unglued. No big deal. I asked to exchange it for the exact same belt. The salesperson couldn’t have been nicer or more helpful. She was apologetic for the flaw and found me the exact same belt, however when I went to the cash register the manager said I needed to show “proof of purchase” meaning a receipt or credit card transaction. Why would I have kept a receipt? I had no intention of returning the belt and had worn it. When the purchase didn’t appear on my credit card the manager said there was nothing she could do. She literally couldn’t provide me with a new/non defected belt and said this was story policy. I’m so disappointed! I used to love Maxwell and would shop there regularly, but if a store or manager at the store can’t problem solve or work to figure out a solution to an issue that is agreeably their responsibility, I’m out. Values and customer service are of top notch importance and I’d rather support stores that have similar views.
