However, it’s absolutely ridiculous that you have to blow every 15 minutes! If one does choose to drink, alcohol stays in the system for hours, so why not test once an hour instead of four times in an hour? Makes no sense whatsoever. Besides which, it’s dangerous when you’re in the middle of driving. Not sure who to complain to you so I’m starting with you. Otherwise, very satisfied with Smart Start.

How does an Interlock Device work?
When you blow into your Ignition Interlock Device, you're providing a breath test sample in order to start the vehicle. The device then measures your Breath Alcohol Concentration (BrAC), and will either say that you passed, need to retest, or failed. You will be asked to take rolling retests throughout your drive.
