  I visited this Nordstrom location on a Thursday at around 3:30 PM, hoping to return and exchange an item in the women's section. Unfortunately, I experienced a significant lack of assistance during my visit. After walking the entire second floor, I found no staff available to help me, which was incredibly frustrating. This has been the worst Nordstrom experience I've ever had. I expected much better service from such a renowned brand.

  Horrible service received in the shoes department today by Meemee A. She first rushed us on deciding on what shoes to try, then she got irritated when we asked for a different size and shoe to try on. She even stopped looking at us as the customer when we were making the request. We asked for two sizes and she only brought back one of the two we asked. When we purchased one pair, she didn’t even look at us when thanking us. I don’t think I’ve ever received a worst experience shopping anywhere than I have received from her.

  While shopping at another Nordstrom in Marin, we were told that the Walnut Creek location had the items we were looking for in stock, so we made the trip over. It was my first time visiting this branch, and I came away very impressed. The store is spacious, clean, and well-organized, with a strong selection across departments, making it easy to find what you need without feeling overwhelmed. The associates were attentive and eager to help without being pushy. They quickly assisted us in locating the items we came for and were knowledgeable about availability and options. The overall shopping experience felt smooth and efficient, and the pricing was consistent with what you’d expect from Nordstrom, fair, especially considering the level of service. This location is also an anchor store at Broadway Plaza, which is a great outdoor shopping center with a wide variety of stores and dining options. Parking is generally accessible with nearby garages, and the whole area is well-maintained and pleasant to walk through. If you’re planning a broader shopping trip in the East Bay, this Nordstrom is definitely worth a visit.
