- BLBart LennonJan 30, 20261.0During my visits, I observed concerning behavior from a store manager whose name tag appeared to read “Shannon.” While she seemed competent at basic job duties, I repeatedly noticed what appeared to be racial profiling toward Black and Indigenous (BIPOC) customers. She frequently watched them closely, followed their movements with her eyes, and instructed employees to do the same. I also noticed she treated staff poorly—using harsh glares, giving orders in a very militant manner, and speaking rudely. Overall, the darker a customer appeared to be, the worse they were treated, which was uncomfortable and disappointing to witness. I expect retail managers to treat both customers and employees with respect regardless of race. This behavior is unacceptable, and I hope the company addresses it and improves the in-store culture.
