  Very disappointing experience at this Vans store. My parents had just purchased an item and within 10–15 minutes realized they didn’t need it. I went back to return it, but since we couldn’t find the digital or physical receipt, I asked if they could process the return using the card and item tags. The staff told me it wasn’t possible because their system was new and they were getting used to it. Later, when my mom came back, the associate who originally helped her made things worse. He claimed he hadn’t printed a receipt because they “didn’t want it.” Then he changed his story in front of the manager and admitted he “had”printed it, but threw it away. He said “we always assume people don’t want their receipt so”, I quite think it’s the opposite, you assume someone wants it in case they want to return or exchange. Thankfully, the manager went through the trash and found it. But the dishonesty and lack of accountability from the employee was unacceptable. To make things even more frustrating, after insisting earlier that a return without a receipt wasn’t possible, suddenly the same employee said “we can try without it.” (he very much did the return without the receipt). So which is it? The inconsistency and refusal to help in the first place made it clear they just didn’t want to deal with it. They were trying to give us store credit rather than a return. Why would we want store credit to come back here after how we were treated ???! We explained that at our own jobs, if a customer can’t find their receipt, we can still look up recent transactions to resolve the issue. This purchase wasn’t days ago—it was minutes. There was no reason the return process should have been this difficult. Overall, the three workers there showed horrible customer service and none of the “above and beyond” attitude you expect from Vans. We used to come here often years ago and the staff back then were always welcoming and helpful. Unfortunately, this visit was the opposite.

  Great store staff very helpful and friendly. Online usually has more selection but in person customer service at this location is excellent.
