I went to the Psychic Eye and booked two readings for Thursday and Friday. During my visit, one of the readers was actively vomiting on the floor. When I returned later, the vomit was still there untouched. It was clear the store did not have a cleaning crew, proper sanitation, or even basic hygiene protocols. The cloth chairs were stained, and one of them smelled like feces. The bathroom toilet didn’t flush and there was blood in the toilet and feces.
During my reading, the reader was eating a sandwich with chips and brushing the crumbs onto the floor with no sanitizer or concern for cleanliness. Dead bugs on the carpet. The HVAC vents were clogged, and after sitting in the room my clothes and my bag smelled like mildew and mold. I had visited this store for a few months, and the energy consistently felt low, heavy, and unsettling — nothing spiritual or healing about it.
Every time I walked in, I left feeling weighed down, had nightmares afterward, and even saw shadows and spirits. My friend casually asked about becoming a reader, and they offered to hire her on the spot with no training, no demonstration, and no screening. That alone raised major concerns.
The store has a multiple demonic status labeled $666. The store is more demonic themed. Unspiritual. Ouija boards, sigils, and books on dark magic, Satanic Bible, and summoning demons. The entire store is feels hexed.
I also witnessed one of the employees take out a vape pen and smoke on the property while walking toward the back, gossiping about the readers. Later, she went to the beaded room to scold another reader. The store was completely empty during my visit, and throughout the experience I could hear staff harassing and threatening the readers.” I’m going to take you off the schedule and out of the room if you’re late for readings. Stop acting like a brat.” Publicly scolding them instead of handling anything professionally in front of customers.
On one occasion, the staff sat behind the register unwilling to assist customers, and I could hear them openly gossiping about other readers including allegations of inappropriate behavior, solicited, and drug use. I was appalled by the unprofessional conduct. I overheard the staff use profanity and race-based comments about customers and colleagues especially those who are Jewish. The store felt anti semitic and racist.
I was told by the manager that they don’t service Jews or minorities. I cannot speak for every situation, but this was said to me personally and it felt discriminatory.
The manager then began arguing with the readers in front of customers, further contributing to a hostile and disorganized environment.
Now I understand why this store has the reputation it does nothing about the environment felt clean, safe, or spiritually aligned.
