I had requested a specific suit displayed in the store, but the suit I received was different from the one I selected. I did not realize the difference and proceeded to check outs. Later, when I came to pick up the suit, I acknowledged the difference and requested to exchange the suit. However, although the staff acknowledged that a mistake had been made, yet I was informed that a refund could not be issued because the suit had already been altered.
While I understand that alterations typically make returns more complicated, this situation arose entirely due to an error on the store’s part, not mine. Despite admitting the mistake, no meaningful remedy was offered. Only after I asked for some form of resolution was I offered a 5% discount of new suit, which felt dismissive, especially considering that the same brand offers a 10% discount throughout via its online mall.
The total cost of the suit was approximately $1,200, and I had to purchase new suit from different place which costs me total of around $2100 and am now left with a suit I cannot wear. This experience was deeply disappointing, particularly because I previously had an excellent experience at Hugo Boss Utah location, where the staff were attentive, professional, and ensured customer satisfaction. Unfortunately, this recent encounter fell far short of that standard and I will not return to this location.
