  My sister and I were genuinely excited about Blick opening in San Jose. We even visited the store a few times during their soft opening period, before the official grand opening. While our first visit was pleasant, the experiences since then have felt uncomfortable. It often seems like employees are closely monitoring and following us. We have made several purchases from the store during these visits (even purchased a $100 gift card for a birthday gift). It's such odd behavior and we are considering not returning in the future. We are super disappointed. What makes it worse is that the store actually has a great selection of art supplies. :(

  Congratulations on your grand opening today! Blick had over 250 plus customers in line. Blick offered a goodie bag for the first 100 customers. Blick did mentioned that in their ad. Blick didn't give anything after the 100th customers. When customers are expressing their gratitude to purchase supplies and help promote the store. You think! Blick could have issued a pen or pencil to the customers without the bag of goodies. Customers were disappointed with that service. Blick wasn't prepared for the impact of their customers coming to give support for the new store in town. The cash registerers crashed due to crowd of people. It was packed! I observed one of the staff members following the lady in the blue hat as if she was about to take something. The man had on a black shirt, wavy shoulder length hair with no name tag. They had the CEO and people from Chicago. This lady gave me her 20% off entre purchase clip. It appears she was promoting the store while waiting on her classmates traveling from Gilroy, Santa Cruz and Felton. This isn't a good service to follow people in the store. Blick offers a better selection of art supplies, and I will give the staff members behind the registers FIVE stars. Do you think BLICK should do a day of Appreciation for their customers with a small gift to all customers?

  I've been asking Blick for decades to open up in San Jose! Finally my dream has come true. The only thing I'm curious about is I didn't get notified until recently that they were opening but it stated their grand opening is not until the 26th of February!? I will have to call first to make sure that they are in fact open now. I'm so happy to finally hear that they are here.

  Newly opened! I was looking for a nearby Michaels and this place came up in my search. I'm so happy to have one in the South Bay to add to the variety of art supplies and brands. I used to go to the one in Berkeley during my college years. At this location, I spent a long time going through the ink pen offerings. I like the well-maintained marker and pen wall with test papers. The store attendants were very helpful and friendly. I can't wait to go back and check out other craft supplies like the linoleum blocks!

  Such a clean and pretty art supply store with a great selection of items. It’s not one of those super serious, stuck-up art supply spaces, everyone is friendly, welcoming, and helpful. They also have the coolest trinkets, games, and fun little items for both kids and adults. I picked up a couple of Mayco glazes that I couldn’t find at my usual ceramic supply store, so I was really happy they carried them. The store is well-organized, easy to walk through, and just has a really fun, creative energy. Overall, a cool and inspiring spot with good deals too. I’ll definitely be coming back!
