I recently had a very disappointing experience with this boutique and it fell far below the level of service expected from a luxury brand. My interaction with the boutique was by phone because I requested an exchange for a bag that this store had available. The sales associate told me she would process the order and verify my information, but I never received any shipping confirmation, email, or text from the boutique. The only notification I received came from Louis Vuitton’s online customer service2 days after the bad is shipped. When the package arrived, the outer shipping box was badly smashed and sealed with only a single thin strip of tape. Inside, the Louis Vuitton box had no ribbon, no tissue paper, and no receipt. The presentation was extremely careless. The bag itself was even more concerning. The metal chain was loosely left inside the bag with the leather strap, without any protection. The lock had multiple scratches, and the interior showed noticeable fabric lines and sparkling residue. It honestly looked like a display item or a return rather than a new bag. I had to contact customer service myself to escalate the issue. When the sales associate called back, there was no apology or acknowledgement of the situation. I was simply told that I could return the bag and they would order another one from the warehouse. The tone was cold and dismissive, as if the call needed to end as quickly as possible. For a brand that prides itself on craftsmanship and luxury service, this level of care and customer is beyond disappointing!

Came in to shop waited around for someone to come help me, no one bothered…. I was wearing comfy clothes leggings Uggs long sleeve…. A lady shopping literally stopped shopping to look at me and said something in her language to her daughter and then I walked away still no one helped me. Was looking for a gift for my bday for myself, left to go back to hotel to cry.

So disappointed with my experience here. I came in looking to buy 3 fragrances and initially no one came up to help me. An associate named Lauren eventually walked by and asked if I needed help—she was actually great—and she sent a “fragrance specialist” over to help me. The associate assisting me was not very helpful and didn’t even let me experience all the fragrances I was clearly showing interest in by commenting “that’s too feminine” or “you won’t like it” when she literally hasn’t been paying any attention to me and was in fact on her phone scrolling. Actually the so called specialist stood a few yards away as she is apparently is sensitive to fragrances—which I would understand if you weren’t a fragrance specialist.. It seemed I was wasting her time coming into her store so I was hesitant in buying anything, which was exactly what I’d come in specifically for. I honestly just wanted to get out of there because it just feels really bad to come into an establishment and not feel welcomed or wanted there—she literally stood across the showroom on her phone with a mask on. Just to test the associate I asked if I could buy a few samples or if they have any complementary ones to offer as I had a few other fragrances i wanted to try before buying and she declined me as I expected. I know it’s common for LV stores to give a few samples to customers who did not come in to buy anything—that’s why I came back in, to buy the fragrances another associate at an east coast store had given me samples of. At this point, her attitude had put me off wanting to buy anything from the store but the temptation of getting the one I really wanted won and I caved. It was crazy the way she got excited that I was buying something and finally she decided to care and came to the fragrance displayed and showed me this and that scent and even offered all these samples with my purchase (which I understand is customary for LV) almost like a flip had switch now that she was making a sale. Sad it came so late that’s where it stopped—the standard presentation of the bag and boxed bottle LV stores usually do was not done with my purchase and she even went missing for a short while while boxing my bag. Some water or something would have been nice while I waited. I understand a fragrance purchase, or even 3, is not like buying a luxury bag or luggage however I’m a customer all the same and she was a so called fragrance specialist and her customer service was not acceptable and lost the stores business in fact. I’m actually a little upset with myself for even buying something that day. Without sounding to entitled or pretentious, buying a luxury item should feel good—like you’re rewarding yourself. Even if shopping here everyday is your lifestyle then you’d want the sales associates to at-least treat you as good as a cashier at the grocery store would. Had she just started off how she did after I made a purchase and actually helped me experience the products and had she answered my questions and allowed me to actually shop then we’d both have walked out much happier. The best advice I’ve ever heard when I was doing sales myself was “always assume the sale”, “always assume their buying—they came it right?”. This is my last time ever stepping into the SF LV store. If you read this review, I hope you have a better experience and it’s likely I drew a bad straw, but what a joke—a “fragrance specialist” with a fragrance hypersensitivity so bad she has to stand across the showroom on her phone with a mask on!
