Be aware of bird poops all over the food court, including tables. The mall has a lot of fancy stores but the adm doesn’t bother to pay staff to clean it frequently. If they do, they’re not doing their job. The space is constantly dirty because nobody cleans after people have their meal and there is bird poop all over the place. Disgusting and against sanitary standards. I’ll make sure to report whenever I can.
They also just closed a chademo station to charge electric cars - the only one available in the area.

One thing to criticalize about Fashion Valley is the absurd amount of peoples inside the mall in Black Friday. It got to the point where I had to leave because almost all parking lots are occupied. Bad things aside, when I first walked into the mall after BF, I was absolutely AMAZED about how it looked like. It was open space, so it gave me fresh air to start with. The asthestics were pretty nice, especially insidethe stores, and I ended up having a good time. It had every high-end things you'll need at a reasonable price. Overall, this was really great, just needed to manage guests in Black Friday.

I went yesterday to the Apple store. It was a weekend so needless to say it was very busy. I was scheduled an appointment for later that afternoon ( for an hour-and-a-half later... so not too bad) plus with all the high end stores in the mall they'd be plenty of places to go to pass the time and maybe do some shopping. Mind you- this was my first time at this mall and I drove two hours exclusively to go to the Apple store. After having my appointment scheduled I went, well, to the restroom. Went in to the restroom. There was three toilet stalls. One had a very obviously broken door... I went into the one next to it. To my dismay, I found out the latch on the door of the stall I was using was also broken when someone walked in on me while I was doing my business. As this toilet stall intruder excused himself and closed the door behind him he suggested that "I lock the door"🙄....
I finished taking care of business and left the restrooms... I stopped at the 503 for a pupusa which was the highlight of this mall visit... the time of my Apple appointment was nearing so I decided to go wait near the store. When I got to the escalator we noticed the up-to-down part of the escalator was out of order. And yes, I should have noticed that when I went "up" the escalator - but I didn't.
I finally made it to my Apple appointment. The lady who helped me was cheery, knowledgeable, and above all- patient. Having been a Samsung guy all my life I have proclaimed myself an Apple illiterate. I don't know the difference between a Macbook pro and MacBook neo. Needless to say, she was very very patient with me and super helpful. Too bad I didn't catch her name 😕.
All in all, even though I was super happy with the food and folks at 503 and delighted with the service at the Apple store... I was disappointed with the mall itself. You'd think that a mall that has the likes of Cartier, Porsche, and Rolex would have fully functional escalators and at the very least "acceptable" restroom facilities.
