I ordered an item online and was about five days past the return window, but I was completely fine taking store credit. I even called the Fashion Valley location beforehand and was told that would be fine. The website also still showed the option to return, but since I shop there often, I figured I would just handle it in store and get something else.
The item arrived without a tag, which was already frustrating because I knew it might turn into an issue, but I had my receipt and full order history so it really should not have been.
When I got to the store, the associate helping me was nice, but once she asked her manager, who was busy shopping and checking out, it was an immediate no. I was told I could not return it or get store credit because there was “no tag or receipt,” even though I clearly had proof of purchase. At that point, it was obvious she was not interested in helping or even trying to find a solution.
But honestly, I get it. When you are working retail for low pay, customer service probably is not a priority, especially when you are more focused on spending your own paycheck in the store than actually assisting customers.
Save yourself the time and go to the Mission Valley location instead. They handled it without any issue and I ended up spending more money there.
Would not recommend this location.

They do not allow you to return things that are bought at their outlet stores. No other company does this. It’s basically like they want to trap you into keeping their shitty products instead of allowing for a better experience. I will never shop here again. 0/5 stars

Was just in there 30-40 min ago. I believe the recent negative comments on here about the staff. There’s definitely an unfriendly vibe in the air. The young kid (Hispanic looking) did not acknowledge me, but when a woman (customer) who also appeared to be Hispanic walked in, he greeted her in a friendly fashion and assisted her, all smiles. I definitely felt discriminated against. Not sure if it was my ethnicity (Asian background) but there was definitely something about my appearance he didn’t care for. There was another young worker there, a lady with a Hijab. She At least acknowledged me & was cordial but she definitely had a snear look on her face when I returned the clothes I tried on. Not sure if these two individuals had bad experiences with people of my background or appearance, but they definitely could work on their manners and demeanor. Learn how to be polite to all people from all backgrounds regardless of your personal prejudices.

Love this store, I came in on a crunch before my wedding and Gerald came through for me, set me up with a great shirt and tie for my special day. One of my best shopping experiences ever.
