- VVVOct 29, 20251.0I went in this morning with the intention of buying over $100 worth of shoes with some Vans gift cards I received recently. When I get to the counter to pay after trying on the shoes, the worker tells me that they just had their cash register system “updated” but their gift card reader had been down ever since. I ended up not buying the shoes. Why even update the system if one of the ways of paying is completely eliminated? What’s even worse is I’m sure some corporate bozos are pushing their in-store employees to make sales, and when they actually do, they can’t even complete the transaction because upper management downgraded their whole system. The two gentlemen that helped me this morning were extremely kind and helpful and did nothing wrong. The store itself is nice, clean, and quiet. Only some rich, out of touch manager would make it so someone spends $100+ on gift cards and then make it so after they get your money, you can’t even use the gift card you bought.

Picked out some shoes and went to the register and they said they don’t have working gift card reader. Tried to ring us up for cash any way. How about don’t sell gift cards if your stores can’t take them? I wish I could get my money back. Is this even legal? You don’t have a manual way to enter a gift card? Complete waste of time.
- JCJulie CAug 5, 20255.0Stopped by on Sunday 8/3 to pick up sandals for a beach day. The employee in the pink overalls was so nice & helpful. They were not pushy salesmen but pointed out the great deals they had going on, and we ended up leaving with a full shopping bag. Oops!
