  I got in line behind 5 people with only one register open. I waited to see if the two other staff members not working check out would notice and open an additional register but they did not. I kindly approached and asked one of them if they can please open a second register. Kelly, who was next to the person I asked, got very sassy and snapped back “she’s new, she can’t help you.” I said “I was asking the team in general, not her specifically.” She continued to speak rudely to me for absolutely NO REASON, at which point I had had enough of Kelly so I said “well, you can open a register.” She said “I will! And I’m taking my lunch after this!!” I was so embarrassed for her and her unprofessional and unprovoked display of emotions. It was alarming to see a grown woman behaving like an unstable child. Hopefully, she learns how to communicate with customers, especially when training new staff members. The bar really should be higher, Nordstrom Rack.
