  Scammer business tactics. Purchased Ray ban meta glasses online and went in to pick up and employee says “your order has been canceled, we don’t have those in stock” … This started late October. Still have not received my refund even though I have contacted several times! Lame corporate customer service that tells you what you want to hear but NEVER do I receive any “email in a few days” and STILL TO THIS DAY NO REFUND! $499.16 still missing……

  I’ve never experienced customer service this poor in my life. I purchased a pair of $300 sunglasses from Sunglasses Hut and was sold a protection plan by the manager, Mr. Corey, that was supposed to cover a replacement for 13 months. My receipt clearly stated the terms, which promised I could exchange the sunglasses for a replacement for just $40. Fast forward to today, 12 months and 20 days later. I went into the store to claim my replacement, only to be told by a female employee that the deal had changed to 12 months instead of the 13 months my bill clearly indicated. After I asked to speak with the manager, she said he was unavailable but would be in shortly. I thought maybe they were just misinformed, but I was in for a whole lot more frustration. I went to a different Sunglasses Hut at Macy’s, where they confirmed that the 13-month deal should apply to me, as it was printed on my receipt. So I called the original store, and again, they insisted that Mr. Corey would have to help me, but he wasn’t there yet. When I finally returned to the store the next day, I waited for about 30min for Mr. Corey to come out of his office, even after I was told he was just on a phone call. The female employee was totally unhelpful, ignoring me to help other customers and making no attempt to update me on the manager’s status. Finally, when Mr. Corey showed up, he was anything but accommodating. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience or even acknowledging the poor service, he rudely told me, “I’m not here to listen to your speech! Do you want me to help you or not?” Seriously? I’m spending $350 here, and this is the kind of attitude I get? After I tried to explain how badly I’d been treated and how frustrated I was, he told me he wouldn’t help me if I kept talking. Then, to top it all off, when he finally processed the replacement, he tried to charge me $50 instead of the agreed-upon $40, only to claim it was a mistake after I pointed it out. I don’t know what happened to the friendly, helpful Mr. Corey I dealt with when I first bought the sunglasses, but I will never step foot in that store again. The entire experience was disrespectful, unprofessional, and downright frustrating. I would strongly advise avoiding this location, especially if you expect any semblance of decent customer service. Save yourself the hassle and shop elsewhere. Get your glasses from other stores guys. SUNGLASSES HUT ARE A SCAM!
