- FMfamily Montreal3 days ago1.0My husband and I selected 10 men’s mesh polos in different styles, colors, and sizes. There was a promotion of 15% off on the original price of $150 in the store. After waiting in a long checkout line, we were suddenly informed by a supervisor that we were only allowed to purchase three polos. This was extremely surprising because we have been loyal customers of this store for more than 10 years and have frequently purchased over 10 polos in a single visit without issue. When I asked whether this was a new policy, the supervisor claimed it had “always” been the rule, which directly contradicts our past experiences. I also asked why there was no notice anywhere in the store informing customers of such a restriction, but she ignored the question. When I asked whether my husband and I could each make separate purchases, she refused and even stated that we would not be allowed to purchase more polos if we returned to this store another day. I explained that we are traveling to China next week and were purchasing the polos as gifts for relatives, yet we were still treated as though we were doing something improper. Only after an uncomfortable exchange did she finally allow us to purchase five polos. Even the cashier expressed sympathy for how we were being treated.
