  I shop at Nordstrom regularly and have only made a couple returns here over the past two years. Both times, the return process felt less like customer service and more like a TSA screening. I’m asked repeatedly if the item has been used, questioned about tags, packaging, when I bought it, and why I’m returning it, more than once, to the point it feels like an interrogation rather than a standard return. For context, Nordstrom shipping can be inconsistent. Sometimes shoes arrive in a box, sometimes they don’t. Still, my items were neatly repackaged exactly as received. On my last visit, the associate even had to ask a manager if my beautiful packaged return could even be accepted, which led to a long wait while I stood there trying not to laugh at how intense the whole thing felt. I understand loss prevention and policy. Totally fair. But the eye rolls, the repeated questioning, and the dramatic manager approvals make this location feel unnecessarily hostile over routine returns. It’s retail… but I need a character witness to return a sweater. I’ve started doing most of my purchases and returns at the Dublin store instead, where the process feels… normal.

  This is one of the larger nordstroms i've been at. So it had a better option and variety.

  Nice story with a good variety. They do a great job keeping the store clean and organized during peak shopping time.

  I went to make a return, and a lady with purple-coloured hair was not only rude but also aggressive towards me. One of the items i brought back did not have a tag (as sometimes they do send items without tags), and she told me with pretty bad energy that "next time I bring an item with not tag, they will not accept a return." To me, she sounded and looked like she was accusing me of something. I told her that then, next time, they should send items only with the tags attached, and she said she is not responsible for that and it is just telling me the store policies! I said - I received them like that - then she threw back at the counter my previous items she had processed and yelled at me, while moving her body and head negatively, saying, "I will not help you!  Go! go to someone else!"while pushing my merchandise almost to the floor. I started shaking, not understanding why I was being treated this way, I never return items without tags I have removed or used - if that is what she meant... The item was sent to me without a tag!. She was clearly upset and tired, as she didn’t even greeted me, as the other cashiers do. I am still in shock about the situation. Went out shaking. Had to wait to drive away. I asked to be given her name so I could call the manager, but I was unable to get it. I hope they review the video and see how she treated me. These people are so unhappy in their jobs. They should seek more fulfilling roles so they don't take it out on us, the customers.
