The staff initially told me alterations were complimentary—consistent with what’s stated on the website and what I’ve heard from other Nordstrom Rack employees. However, when the alterations specialist arrived, I was told the cost would be $101. This was very disappointing, especially since I had traveled a long distance based on the expectation that the service would be free.

And both were on sale. Lucy, the sales representative, provided welcome assistance in finding them after I nearly lost hope having looked initially at higher priced pairs. She was personable, knowledgeable and a delight to deal with.
