  Dear MaxMara Stanford staff, I hope you have all being doing well. Please take my review not as a personal critique: just a concerned returning customer note. I wasn't going to say anything because I didn't want to come off being rude-- . Mind you, I haven't been back at this particular location for a year(?) But upon reflection, I seriously think your service was a cry for help. Please for the love of shopping/shoppers/MaxMara enjoyers: kindly greeting your customers-- without assuming what ethnicity they are-- and a standard "let me know if you have any questions at all" would be enough for everyone. 1.Do not come and try to speak to your customers after assuming their ethnicity-- 2.do not comment on their name origin after you asked them about it-- 3.do not call over a mandarin speaking sales associate to then non-stop ask me to try on your clothes and follow me It's honestly one of the most bizarre shopping experiences I've ever had in my life. It doesn't matter if I am mandarin speaking by the way-- and the name I had given is a popular name with people of a lot of backgrounds-- "Oh your name is Korean". No, no, you don't get a gold star for jeopardy-checkmate-"what asian are you" bingo-guessing games. I didn't see your team go up to other customers like this. Y'all know exactly what I mean by other customers*. I was shocked by my experience; this has never ever happened to me before in the past-- ever. Not interested in any further discussion. I love shopping in person-- I' just wanted to ask this store to please remember good customer service is being respectful. Especially when a customer has responded to all your ridiculous behaviors. Thanks. With concern, Dana <3 P.S. 1/5 stars. I'm giving 2 because I want this staff to know I understand they are trying their very best to give decent customer service. You can be well-intentioned but the effort is a waste if it just makes a customer feel very strange. P.S.S. Fellow shoppers, you cannot walk out of this store fast enough. If you wish to leave their grounds, I urge you to run, nay-- sprint. Let's hope this won't be forever: Just until, this staff figures out whatever their sales playbook strategy is.

  Excellent, remarkable and best service I've actually ever received in a retail store. I wasn't dressed up and didn't look any part, and I was left alone to take my time browsing. Michelle was outstanding at giving me ideas and looks and bringing just the right sizes. I felt no pressure to buy, simply fell in love with almost everything I tried on here. Far better experience than wandering through a department store aimlessly and hoping to find just one thing and failing for any real help at all, which is usually my experience.

  The sale and shop owner is so RUDE and impolite. Someone purchased a coat online as a gift for my friend and my friend wants to replace with another style. The sale and owner kept saying the coat is on sale and the shop didn’t even sell now, and not allowed to replace.🤮🤮🤮

  Don't ever buy at this store. Again, don't buy at this franchise store. If you want to purchase anything from Max Mara, try at the store and buy online or buy at a corporate store because you won't get a a refund. This franchise store has a NON REFUNDABLE policy and the aggressive salesperson will NOT TELL YOU.
