  I bought a pair of Cartier earrings for 3k. Tried it on in the store, working well etc. three weeks later, the hoop earring slipped backwards through my ear piercing, and fell on the floor. I thought maybe that this was a random thing, but it started happening more. Looks like the hoop somehow was able to get through the hole. I took it to them and asked for some sort of a solution, repair or an exchange for a slightly larger pair. Even though the sales person acknowledged that this happens with the hoop earrings, they would absolutely not budge. They offered nothing. Extremely poor customer service, and not solution oriented at all. I have been a repeat customer of Cartier, but never again. On my way home, I stopped by a jeweler who helped me trouble shoot and gave me a pair or broad ear backings so that this wouldn't happen. Terrible customer service at Cartier. They've lost a customer for life and I will tell all my friends to never buy here. Avoid!!! Spend your money elsewhere!!

  We stopped by at the Palo Alto store today and just outside the door, was a guard who asked us to wait. A gentleman opened 12 inches of the door, and squeezes out to ask what we wanted to buy, and if we had an appointment. I told him what we wanted to "check out" and that I did not have an appointment. He put our names down and said he would text us when it's our turn-approximately 40 min later. We were running late, and this squeezing out of the door and asking us what we wanted to buy, without us even browsing was appalling. On top of that when we came back after 40 min, the same thing happened-he squeezed out, asked us if we received a text and said we have to wait another 30-40 minutes. At this point I told him to scratch our names. It's not because of the wait time that I was bothered - I was bothered by them treating a customer like we were there to either waste their time, or rob their store. I decided to not support the brand if this is how they treat people-even though I was ready to make the purchase today.

  Stock availability good but it didn’t feel like a luxury store.. untidy, dirts on desk and tired employees.

  They will roll out the red carpet for you when you want to buy things. Don’t be fooled. God forbid you need it serviced. Between Warisa who you’ll have to work with (rude almost hostile) or Luke at the door who won’t even let you into the store while offering no help, customer service or even information you’ll be sorely disappointed and sorry you ever spent a dime with them. When we compare this to our experience at Shreve & co., the difference is astonishing. They are always so welcoming, so helpful, and have made life long clients of us. Congrats to Luke especially for making sure we never shop at Cartier again.
