I checked the price of a jacket using the scanner in the store, and it showed a lower price. However, at checkout they tried to charge me more. I wasn’t trying to get anything for cheaper — I just wanted the correct price that was shown. When I asked to scan the barcode again on the price-check machine, the device wasn’t working at all. It made the whole situation feel unclear and unreliable. I don’t understand why the prices in the store don’t match at checkout. I hope the store improves their price accuracy and makes sure the scanners work properly, because customers rely on them.
