  Had a great experience at Bass Pro Shops thanks to Tristian! I’m fairly new to fishing and was looking to get set up with some proper gear. Tristian went above and beyond to help me find exactly what I needed. He took his time explaining the different options and gave me some really helpful advice without ever making me feel pressured to buy anything. You can tell he genuinely knows his stuff and enjoys helping customers. I left with a great setup and a much better understanding of what I was buying. If you’re heading to Bass Pro Shops for anything fishing-related, do yourself a favour and ask for Tristian! Couldn’t recommend him enough!

  I spent almost two hours just wandering around Bass Pro Shops this weekend, and honestly, it’s so much more than a retail store. The giant indoor fish tank and wildlife displays make it feel like a mini adventure the second you walk through the door. I was looking for some general outdoor gear, and a team member in the fishing section took the time to genuinely recommend what would work best for my upcoming trip without pushing the most expensive stuff. Great customer service, super unique vibe, and easily one of the best shopping experiences I've had in a while.

  We had a really nice day shopping at the mall, and at the end of the day we went to Bass Pro Shops Vaughan to see the beautiful waterfall and fish. My young son was very excited and went close to the water and touched it. An employee came over and told my son to stop touching the fish, which would have been completely understandable if that was the store’s rule. However, what shocked me was that she also called my son an “idiot.” I was completely stunned that an employee would speak to a child that way. The employee had brown hair, was wearing glasses, and was stationed near the entrance beside the waterfall. Her behaviour was extremely rude and inappropriate, and it completely ruined what had been a wonderful family outing. We called the store afterward and asked to speak with a manager. We were transferred to the manager, but after the phone rang for a while, the call was disconnected. We called back twice, but no one answered. I understand that employees may need to remind customers of store rules, but there is absolutely no reason to insult a child. A simple, respectful explanation would have been enough. I hope management takes this complaint seriously and addresses how this situation was handled.

  This place is an absolute nightmare on the weekend, so don’t go unless you want to spend the day inside a madhouse lol :) Go in the evening, at the beginning of the week and you’ll be served by some of the most knowledgeable outdoors-persons in the Biz. Fishing is now a “middle-class sport”, with the costs increasing over the decades to extreme amounts. The staff there will get you sorted out on a budget, tailor-plan your items based on your style and waters being covered. Very friendly, helpful, and the store is absolutely massive. When you have it all to yourself it’s pretty cool!

  The experience I have had at BassPro Vaughn has been nothing short of stellar, every single time. Not just them, but also their call center (BassPro Canada). The people running the show hear will bend over backwards to help, especially when shown the respect they deserve. I'd like to leave a personal commendation to the Firearms Manager Kent; this man has helped me in several unique situations and is just overall a tremendous person to deal with and he has a wealth of knowledge and incredible background in the industry, so you know your in the best hands when dealing with Kent. Also, Paul from Firearms and Tyler from the customer service desk; both these gentlement, ko Kent, really do know their business and are helpful, capable staff members that BassPro should be proud to employ. Lastly, there's a young guy in Archery who's name is slipping my mind atm but he's got a shaved head and medium stockey build (if I remember his name I'll update it here ) and he was really pleasant, tried to save me some money I was about to needlessly spend (I spent it anyway but it's the thought that counted), and like the firearms staff, he knew his department and it's products well, which makes an in and out trip that much more efficient. Kudos to this BassPro location and to the main centre we well. What a great business.
