  One week later — still no solution. A two-year warranty sounds great, until you actually need it. We followed your instructions. We contacted you through the link you provided. And now… silence. We are following up on our previous review because Sunglass Hut responded publicly and asked us to contact customer care so that the matter could be resolved. My wife did exactly as instructed and submitted the requested information through the customer care link provided in your response. It has now been one full week, and we have received no response and no update whatsoever. So unfortunately, the problem remains exactly where it was when we first visited the Yorkdale location: we have a pair of sunglasses with a deteriorating finish, a valid two-year warranty, the original receipt and warranty documentation — but still no actual warranty assistance. It is especially disappointing to see a response saying “we are committed to delivering best-in-class customer service” when, after following the instructions provided by Sunglass Hut itself, we are once again left waiting with no communication. We genuinely hoped the public response meant that someone would actually look into the issue and help resolve it. Unfortunately, after a week of waiting, it feels more like a standard response to a negative review than a genuine attempt to resolve the problem. We are still waiting for someone to actually take responsibility and help us with this warranty claim. Very disappointing warranty experience at Sunglass Hut Yorkdale The sunglasses were originally purchased as a gift for my wife by a friend from the Sunglass Hut Yorkdale location. When the sunglasses were given to us, we were also given the original receipt and the two-year warranty document, in case we ever needed to exchange them or make a warranty claim. The sunglasses were used for a little over a year under normal conditions. Unfortunately, the coating/finish around the edges started peeling and deteriorating. We first went to the Sunglass Hut Yorkdale location on Friday, where the sunglasses were originally purchased. We explained the issue and also explained that the sunglasses had been given to my wife as a gift, so we had not purchased any additional insurance or extended coverage ourselves. The representative asked about additional insurance, and we explained the situation. We also explained that we had the original receipt and the two-year warranty documentation. However, we were told that they could not help us and that we would need to contact the brand directly. We returned to the store on Saturday with the original receipt, warranty document, and the original case. We again clearly explained the problem. Unfortunately, instead of examining the sunglasses or explaining how the two-year warranty could be used, we were again told that the store could not assist us because the matter was the brand’s responsibility. This was extremely disappointing. We were not asking for a refund or making an unreasonable request. We simply expected the store to inspect the product and assist us with the warranty process, especially since we had the original receipt and warranty documentation. What is particularly frustrating is that we were given a two-year warranty with the product, yet when an actual issue occurred, we were essentially told that the store had no responsibility and that we had to deal with the brand ourselves. The problem is not only the quality of the product, but also how the warranty was handled and the lack of willingness to help. After this experience, I would seriously think twice before purchasing another pair of sunglasses from this location.

  Manager at this store wasn’t able to help me with a return. An associate said I can come in and return my items and wasted my time coming back-and-forth just for them to tell me to contact customer service. It’s been over a month and I still haven’t received my refund.
