  Met with Sophia, Manager of Chanel at Yorkdale Mall. Outstanding service: professional, patient and knowledgeable. Provided sound advice. Offered drinks. Funny thing was we were not planning to buy as we just finished shopping elsewhere but after meeting with Sophia, we couldn't help ourselves in getting a few items. Worth the trip despite the heavy traffic. Thanks Sophia for your gentleness and assistance🥰🥰🥰

  I recently had a disappointing experience at the Chanel store inside Holt Renfrew at Yorkdale Mall, Toronto, regarding a cosmetic purchase. I purchased the Chanel Les Beiges Water-Fresh Complexion Touch after receiving a shade match recommendation from one of the staff members in-store. During my first visit, the staff member tested multiple darker shades on my face despite my concern that they appeared too dark for my natural complexion. I mentioned clearly that I am a medium skin tone and that these shades did not seem suitable for me. However, she insisted that B40 was the perfect match. Under the store lighting and based on her reassurance, I trusted her recommendation and purchased the product. When I reached home and tried the product properly in natural lighting, I realized the shade was completely unsuitable for my skin tone. It made my complexion appear much darker and greyish, and it did not blend naturally at all. I returned to the store not to request a refund, but simply to exchange the product for a lighter and more suitable shade. I was honest with the staff and informed them that I had tried the product once at home in order to confirm the shade. I understand hygiene policies regarding used makeup products, and I could easily have claimed that I had not used it, but I chose to be truthful because shade matching can only truly be assessed once the product is properly applied outside store lighting. Unfortunately, the staff member I spoke with behaved very differently during my second visit compared to the first. She showed little empathy or willingness to help and responded with an attitude that made me feel dismissed and uncomfortable. I explained that the shade match recommendation provided by her was incorrect and that I was only hoping to exchange it and purchase the correct shade, but I felt my concerns were ignored entirely. As a brown-skinned customer, I also left feeling uncomfortable about the shade recommendations I was repeatedly given. I sincerely hope this was not influenced by assumptions about my complexion, but the experience was upsetting and disappointing.

  A clean, organized boutique with professional service from the SAs. Credit to Sherry, Freya, Marco, and the manager Brandon. Every interaction I’ve had with them has been professional and respectful. I was never left out during purchasing or going into the Coco Crush event. I tried out a lot of pieces before making the purchase. I was worried that the necklace chain would be too short for me but they did the extension. Now the necklace falls just at the right place. I’ll definitely be back within the year for the N°5 necklace (cuz my bday is at the 5th). Love Chanel Fine Jewelry — the pieces are just beautifully designed.

  It took 20 minutes to pack up my cap that I bought only to come home to find that there was no box or even a dust bag. 1600$ and they weren’t able to give me a dust bad the SA was rude I left a voicemail to have a manager call me back because this is unacceptable and I never got a call back! Also I was asked to show ID for a 600$ transaction on my card lol I have come in and bought over 8k and never been asked for Id garbage service and the worst part until today I have no phone call back from manager

  I have been a client at the Chanel boutique in Yorkdale Mall for many years, and every visit is truly memorable. The team of Fashion Advisors is consistently professional, attentive, and kind, creating a welcoming and elevated atmosphere. The store director, My, is a true visionary leader. The boutique is exceptionally well managed, and the new location is one of the most beautiful Chanel stores I have seen anywhere in the world. Product availability is also excellent, which makes the overall experience even more enjoyable. I would like to extend a special thank you to my Fashion Advisor, Soo Min. She always greets us warmly and goes above and beyond to secure the pieces I’m looking for. Her dedication and thoughtful service make every visit feel special, and I’m truly grateful for her support. Each visit feels like a true luxury experience.
