  I had a terrible experience at the Balenciaga store, and I feel compelled to share it. I purchased a pair of shoes online as a gift for my husband on our anniversary because Balenciaga is his favorite brand. When he wore them, he immediately noticed something was wrong. The shoe was hurting his ankle, almost biting into his skin. Since he already owns multiple Balenciaga pairs and finds them comfortable, it was clear that this particular pair had some kind of defect. Understanding that issues can happen, we decided to visit the store for assistance. However, Jim Ou-Yang, the so-called manager, was extremely rude and dismissive. My husband explained the situation politely, but instead of helping, Jim harassed him, refused to acknowledge the defect, and repeatedly stated, "This is a final sale." We never asked for a refund without reason—we simply wanted an exchange or at least some support in understanding the issue. I didn’t even buy the shoes at a discount; they were full price! When we asked for an explanation on why the shoes couldn't be returned or exchanged, Jim outright refused to help and even threatened to call security if we didn’t leave. Eventually, security was actually called on us—just for asking for assistance with a defective product! Spending $900 on a pair of shoes only to receive this kind of treatment is beyond disappointing. Balenciaga, as a luxury brand, should stand behind its products and customer service. If this is how they treat loyal customers, they don’t deserve the love and support people give them. Extremely dissatisfied and will think twice before shopping here again.
