I had a really upsetting experience at Sporting Life today. When I was leaving the store, the alarm apparently went off because of something I had purchased. I didn’t hear it and walked into another store nearby. The security guard followed me into the other store, stopped me, and asked me to come back to Sporting Life so they could check my belongings. Honestly, I was extremely embarrassed. Being followed and stopped by a security guard inside another store, in front of other people, was a really uncomfortable and humiliating experience. I later spoke to another employee at Sporting Life, and they told me that some items with barcodes can trigger the alarm because of the metal in them. I even checked the other exits myself, and the same thing happened. If they already know this can happen, then the alarm system needs to be fixed or the staff need to be aware of it before treating customers this way. I understand that security needs to do their job, but there was a much more respectful way to handle this. The whole experience left me feeling so embarrassed that, honestly, I don’t even feel comfortable going back to that store.

I had such a great experience at Sporting Life in Hillcrest Mall, especially thanks to Anas. It was my first time shopping at this location, and he was very helpful when I asked to try the Nike Metcon in sizes 8 and 8.5 to see which one fit me better. I also asked if there were any promotions, and he told me about the VIP offer, which ended up saving me money. I really appreciated that because he wasn’t pushy or just focused on making a sale. He genuinely cared about helping me get the best option. It’s really nice to see that there are still people who care about customer service and not just the sale. Anas was very kind, honest, and helpful, and I really wanted to take the time to recognize him. Thank you, Anas!

What a great experience with Nancy! . I was shopping in the ladies clothing department in Sporting life. She was very helpful, knowledgable and really understanding. She also offered excellent recommendations during my visit. Working in the customer service industry it’s always hard to find people that are so customer focused. Thank you again Nancy for being professional and so helpful.
