  I used to buy here regularly but recently I ran through financial hardship and stayed away from shopping. Today I went to check out clothing and they had some nice looking MPG items 50% off and 25% off Mountaint Hardware clothing. I always check that the clothes on sale don’t have any defects before paying for it. I grabbed around $250 worth of merchandise but the cashier lady ruined the shopping experience for me by roughly pulling the Tshirts from the neck to get them out of the hanger and visibly stretching the necks overly. What I had selected meticulously was gone by poor attention to detail or simply lack of care. I tried hard not to be mean to the cashier lady but I did tell her not to treat customer’s merchandise like that. I was so upset that I decided to cancel my whole shopping despite the excellent value for money it represented. I have to mention that when I was picking out the right item, I ruled out the ones which necks seemed wrinkly or had lost their shape, so clearly getting them out of the hangers gently does matter. Next time, I’ll get the clothes off the hangers myself as evidently it did not seem to be important to this cashier. In the past I have also noticed they are not careful at all when removing the security magnets. Maybe it was a sign that I still should hold up from spending money on clothing. Anyway, I hope a manager can speak to the cashiers about this issue.

  Largest selection available in Ottawa and very helpful/attentive staff that really made the experience enjoyable and made me want to come back.

  Worst service ever in the shoe department. I wear a women’s wide shoe and they carry none. However a store offering good service with knowledgeable staff could have offered me the option to look on the mens side, which are sometimes made a bit wider. I was hoping to buy 2 pairs of shoes and my husband was looking too. We will gladly bring our business elsewhere.
