- JKJason KerncAug 22, 20265.0Kind of crazy that I’ve never written a review of this place. Long overdue. This was the first luxury watch store I ever entered. When I first started getting into watches many years ago, I’d admire from a distance. Researching online, looking at countless photos and articles but I always had this fear that I would be judged or brushed off walking into any of these high end stores. As if I would be out of place. After saving up and lusting over a Grand Seiko limited edition model that had released in 2018 (The SBGH267 “Whirlpool”), I realized they were sold out everywhere internationally and nationally. It appeared I was late to the party. I tried contact the few Grand Seiko dealers that were within a reasonable vicinity to travel too. I got a response from three of them basically telling me “good luck with that”. Then we have Knar. Stephanie sending a response “we have one, happy to set it aside for you”. So now it’s time, I have to actually enter one of these establishments 🫣 Stephanie mentioned she wouldn’t be in but she CC’ed Sasha and let me know she would be there to help me out. Sasha was absolutely incredible. My initial fears and anxiety about being in a place like that were gone within about two minutes of being in the store. Sasha let me nerd out over a bunch of different watches and this was genuinely my favourite memory of any watch buying experience since. This was way back in early 2019. All this to say, in all the years since then, I’ve yet to feel as “at home” in a luxury watch store as I do at Knar. The staff collectively might be some of the nicest people you’ll come across in a luxury setting. I don’t get the time to stop in as often as I’d like to, but when I do, it’s always a great time catching up. Hope to be in again soon. Thank you, everyone!
